Neuf nouveaux projets financés par les Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC) dans le cadre de leurs plus récents concours de subventions de fonctionnement et de l’Initiative sur les essais cliniques novateurs de la Stratégie de recherche axée sur le patient sont menés par des chercheurs de L’Hôpital d’Ottawa.
Ces projets, d’une valeur supérieure à 5 millions de dollars, feront avancer les connaissances scientifiques et amélioreront la santé dans des domaines comme l’autisme, les lésions rénales aiguës, la grossesse, les maladies cardiovasculaires, la COVID-19, la chirurgie, la santé mentale et la planification du congé de l’hôpital.
Nos chercheurs codirigent également des subventions administrées par d’autres établissements d’un montant d’au moins 5 millions de dollars.
« Les projets de recherche de ce type nous permettent d’offrir d’excellents soins aux patients tout en réalisant des percées scientifiques qui améliorent la santé à l’échelle mondiale », affirme le Dr Duncan Stewart, vice-président exécutif de la Recherche à L’Hôpital d’Ottawa et professeur à l’Université d’Ottawa.
